The upcoming introduction of the YoGen MaxT to our product line will enable us to service the market for chargers capable of handling portable devices of 50-60 W, i.e. primarily notebook and laptop computers. In keeping with our goal to provide an industry-leading level of user-friendliness, the YoGen MaxT is designed to be conveniently foot operated. The user will be able to produce sufficient power to operate their laptop or similar device and charge its internal battery, in a fashion that will not distract from their primary task, by pressing down on a springy, suspended, self-returning pedal. Additionally, this design allows for extended operation at the required wattage without significant user fatigue.
Since the devices with which the YoGen MaxT will be utilized may require extremely extended operation, even the ergonomically optimized foot pedal operation could eventually prove tiring. To overcome this problem the YoGen MaxT offers the option of a built-in back-up bank of rechargeable AA batteries. The electronic block of the YoGen MaxT allows for the adjustment of output to the specific amount optimal for the specific laptop or other device being charged.
When not in use, the YoGen MaxT folds up into a compact book sized package comprised of 3 swing-jointed components: two identical thin folder covers and a narrow base which contains the pedal mechanism. This "book" is easily transformed between its two configurations: one for traveling, which is quite compact and easily carried in a computer bag; and the other, unfolded for operation, which is configured to accommodate any shoe size. The two folder covers contain the operating "hearts" of the YoGen MaxT, each of which is an independent charger based on a unique, proprietary, extremely slim alternator connected to a high ratio micro-transmission. It is the sophistication and efficiency of this electromechanical creation, which enables the YoGen MaxT to be the first truly viable manpowered charger of its kind.
